Company History
Gills Water Well Drilling and Exploration Private Limited Company (GDE) was founded in October 2006 by a group of technocrats, two of whom are Ethiopian. GDE is registered and licensed under the existing authorizing institute in Addis Ababa to carry out both water well drilling and platform construction works.
The company was established with the prime objective of water well drilling and allied works in Ethiopia under the Commercial Code of Ethiopia 1960. It is registered with the investment authority and has a capital of 8,000,000 (Eight million) Birr. The company's Business number is EIC PCO 01/660/05.
The company has several years of active local experience in all types and sizes of water well drilling and construction. It has achieved a strong reputation for outstanding performance and timely completion of service contracts.
The company's quality performance and excellence in client satisfaction is firmly founded on experience, hard work, clear communication, and a sharp vision of client needs and interests. The head office is located in Mekelle, with representative facilitators and coordinators in Addis Ababa.

Geophysical Surveying
Conduct geophysical surveying to pinpoint potential sites using SSR-MP-ATS Model Terra-meter with 700 meter depth of penetration capacity before drilling is commenced.
Well Drilling & Construction
Drill and construct shallow and deep wells for drinking and irrigation purposes, ensuring safe and reliable water supply for communities.
Pump Test Technique
Conduct pump test techniques to accurately determine the discharge capacity of each well, ensuring optimal performance and water yield.
Pump Supply & Installation
Provide and install hand and submersible pumps for both shallow and deep wells, delivering reliable water access solutions.
Water Quality Analysis
Work on comprehensive water quality assessments including chemical, physical, and bacteriological analyses to ensure water safety standards.
Blast Holes & Dewatering
Conduct exploration and drilling for blast holes and dewatering projects, providing expert solutions for complex underground water challenges.
